Description
In the current educational and professional landscape, one’s academic achievements are paramount to career advancement and opportunities. The key to successfully navigating these scenarios is the ability to provide easily verifiable proof of qualifications. The educational system faces significant challenges regarding the issuance and management of certifications. The process is relying on paper documents, which are prone to loss, damage, and forgery. In the digital age, this approach is highly inefficient, difficult to verify, and non-standardized, leading to difficulties for both students and educational institutions in managing these documents. In order to facilitate managing and securing academic certifications, we propose a platform that uses blockchain and distributed storage through IPFS to digitalize the process of issuing diplomas. Demacert moves the responsibility of distributing the certificates from the issuers to us, while enabling students to store all their documents in one place, digitally, encapsulating all these features into an easy-to-use platform. Also, through this system, we aim to eliminate the risk of forgery and to simplify the validation process for educational institutions and employers.
